The ultimate walk (or should I say write) of shame...I know, I know, its been a while but I have a (kinda?) valid reason... I was suffering from blogger's block. It's pretty much writers block, but for bloggers...Seriously it's a real thing! If you have been following me for a while then you know I'm all about being real and I hate blogging when I feel I'm forcing it because I find it comes across as fake. Any who enough of me trying to justify my reasoning for being M.I.A...

Over the last few days I had a bit of an epiphany. You know one of those moments that you experience a sudden and striking realization? No, never happen to you? Well let me tell you one day it will.

It all started when I was venting to my mom and girlfriend...So lets be honest and have some #RealTalk, dating is just down right horrible...okay, okay maybe not horrible HOWEVER some experiences aren't always the greatest. Whether your relationship lasted short term or long term, putting yourself out there is rough and when things don't work out it can sting.

The recovery process includes four vital things that help any girl cope:

1. Chocolate (lots and lots of it)
2. A romantic comedy marathon (which includes a box of tissues for us emotional ones like myself)
3. Great breakup songs (Hello Taylor Swift)
4. Lots of girl talk with your best friends or mom in my case (Heavy emphasis on the GIRL TALK)

Friends (or mothers) are often filled with all kinds of love related advice from passing along tips, discussing all the reasons why it didn't work out, and letting you vent. I find girl talk to be pretty much like therapy, no? I think having even just that one girl friend (or multiple) to talk to is a necessity in ones life! Like seriously it's mandatory and if you don't have one then honey you need to find one! (mom, sister, even if it's a guy friend) Find someone you can talk to (is there an app for that? Probably)Having someone that you can talk to about anything is not only great for relationship stuff but also other things in life. Knowing you can say or do whatever and not be judged is simply AMAZING! In honour of this post how about taking the time today to just shoot that friend(s) a quick message saying how grateful you are to have them in your life; because girl, you know without them you don't know what you would do!

Thanks for reading!
