Happy Thursday lovelies!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! If you follow me on Instagram (@BeyoutifulStephanie) then you may have seen these jeans on some serious repeat! #Sorrynotsorry. I don't know about y'all but it is literally a struggle for me to find a great pair of jeans, that fit in all the right places. I recently purchased THESE and I am absolutely in love! FYI I am usually a size 27 in jeans but I found the 27 to be a little big as these are a jegging like material, so I suggest maybe trying both your 'normal' size as well as a size smaller. I wanted to give y'all different looks that can be put together with a single pair of jeans. The best part about jeans is they go with EVERYTHING! Now that fall has arrived I probably be living in sweaters, jeans or leggings and over the knee boots. (P.S Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I'm working on learning all about lighting and how to set my camera to proper settings, but it's so confusing!! Sooo not a tech savvy gal!)

Thanks for stopping by!

Fall Shoe Shopping

Shop These Shoes- 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
First things first happy Friday lovelies!!! Now that's out of the way; happy second day of fall!! Summer might be my favourite season when it comes to weather, but fall is by far my favourite season for fashion outfits. I find it's when you can get the most use out of your wardrobe, combining both summer and fall pieces. One of the reasons I love fall for fashion is the colours. I am naturally drawn to the darker neutral colours, and recently super addicted to the burgundy and bordeaux colour (both are very similar). I have put together a collage of my shoe wish list for fall. Some of these can also be transitioned into winter which is great #winning!
Thanks for reading & have a great weekend!

Stop Over-Apologizing (Is it really a Canadian thing?!)

I like to consider myself a pretty accommodating person. Maybe even too accommodating (just ask my close friends and family) The upside is I’m fairly flexible. I don't mind going out of my way for people, I can easily admit when I'm in the wrong, and I can usually make everyone in the room comfortable because I'm a very easy going and non-judgemental person (so I've been told). But like most things there are a ton of downsides. I tend to constantly apologize or blame myself for things that aren’t even my fault. If you are thinking to yourself  "yup, sounds like me" well then let me welcome you to my club of Overly Apologetic People. Please do take a seat and grab a name tag..

Just yesterday after finishing up a workout I was leaving the gym and some random guy holding his bag like three feet away from him (as if he was allergic to gym bags) banged his bag right into me and my water bottle that just so happened to be open (of course) went flying. Naturally my first reaction? "OMG I'm so sorry" I mean maybe this was my fault (and there you have it ladies and gents; first offence in this blog post, here I am again justifying why this could have been completely my fault) But perhaps it was completely and unintentional his fault. You think that's bad? Wait until you hear my next story... Once upon a million years ago I found out someone who I was in a long term relationship with had cheated on me (OUCH!) Long story short I remember at one point (after the anger had settled) I actually apologized and blamed myself for his actions. Even though when I asked why he did it, his reasoning was literally the most pathetic reason given to cheat on someone (not that any reason is a good one to justify those actions). Like most things 'there is a time and a place' and I think that apologizing in certain situations falls under that statement. So how exactly do we break this (bad?) habit?

Well here's a start:

Start an apologies log: Make a conscious effort to keep track of how much you are apologizing in a day. I swear I did this and I must have said "sorry" about 20 times! (Okay so operation "stop apologizing" might take me longer than I initially thought #sorrynotsorry)

Ask yourself: "did I actually do something wrong?" I find if you even have to ask yourself this question chances are you didn't. When you do something wrong you usually know right away and there is no need to ask yourself the question (Think about it? Have you ever done something consciously wrong that you know is wrong and have had to ask yourself if you did something wrong?)

More 'real' less 'fake': It's like the word 'love' that gets thrown around for well pretty much anything and I find the word has become less meaningful. Use the word 'sorry' when you actually mean it and not because you feel you have nothing else to say. With that being said sincere apologies are often needed and I find it’s super humbling and powerful to know when to admit when you are wrong. The less we’re throwing fake ones into the mix, the more powerful our true apologies will be.

I got one question...Is it really just the Canadian in me?!!?

The Epiphany + The power of Girl Talk

SHOP THIS LOOK: TOP, JEGGINGS (SIMILAR), SHOES (SIMILAR), HAT, SUNGLASSES (SIMILAR), CROSS OVER BAG (SIMILAR), KINSLEY ARMELLE BRACELET (USE CODE BEYOUTIFULSTEPH15OFF FOR DISCOUNT), WATCH

The ultimate walk (or should I say write) of shame...I know, I know, its been a while but I have a (kinda?) valid reason... I was suffering from blogger's block. It's pretty much writers block, but for bloggers...Seriously it's a real thing! If you have been following me for a while then you know I'm all about being real and I hate blogging when I feel I'm forcing it because I find it comes across as fake. Any who enough of me trying to justify my reasoning for being M.I.A...

Over the last few days I had a bit of an epiphany. You know one of those moments that you experience a sudden and striking realization? No, never happen to you? Well let me tell you one day it will.

It all started when I was venting to my mom and girlfriend...So lets be honest and have some #RealTalk, dating is just down right horrible...okay, okay maybe not horrible HOWEVER some experiences aren't always the greatest. Whether your relationship lasted short term or long term, putting yourself out there is rough and when things don't work out it can sting.

The recovery process includes four vital things that help any girl cope:

1. Chocolate (lots and lots of it)
2. A romantic comedy marathon (which includes a box of tissues for us emotional ones like myself)
3. Great breakup songs (Hello Taylor Swift)
4. Lots of girl talk with your best friends or mom in my case (Heavy emphasis on the GIRL TALK)

Friends (or mothers) are often filled with all kinds of love related advice from passing along tips, discussing all the reasons why it didn't work out, and letting you vent. I find girl talk to be pretty much like therapy, no? I think having even just that one girl friend (or multiple) to talk to is a necessity in ones life! Like seriously it's mandatory and if you don't have one then honey you need to find one! (mom, sister, even if it's a guy friend) Find someone you can talk to (is there an app for that? Probably)Having someone that you can talk to about anything is not only great for relationship stuff but also other things in life. Knowing you can say or do whatever and not be judged is simply AMAZING! In honour of this post how about taking the time today to just shoot that friend(s) a quick message saying how grateful you are to have them in your life; because girl, you know without them you don't know what you would do!

Thanks for reading!

Welcoming September- Bye Summer & Hello Fall

SHOP THIS LOOK: DRESS, SHOES, BAG (SIMILAR), SUNGLASSES (SIMILAR)

Hey guys! Is it just me or was August a complete blur?! Seriously why does time fly faster as you get older? We have been super lucky here in Toronto with the great weather we have had and I am sad that summer is slowly coming to an end. The days are getting shorter and slightly cooler. However if there is one season I love in regards to fashion, its Fall! I love the colours and the layering without too much layering and I find fall outfits to be the easiest to put together. Be ready for an overload of fall fashion ideas for the next little while. Have a great day!
