Workout Wednesday- Circuit Training

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

My goal was to make it to the gym this morning for 6am... HOWEVER my alarm didn't go off...ok ok I may have pushed snooze on my phone a few times lol..I'm only human! Therefore by the time I woke up and took a few selfies #guilty... I didn't have enough time to make it to the gym so I decided to just make up a circuit routine on the spot and do it at home in my room. No equipment needed! I actually love using my own body weight for some workouts! I did the following circuit 4 times with 1 minute rest between each round. Give it a shot on your next workout!

1. Burbees- 20 reps
2. Bodyweight squats- 30 reps
3. Push ups- 20 reps
4. Cross body crunch- 20 reps each side
5. Plank- 1 minute hold
6. Mountain climbers- 30 reps

Have a great workout!

New Year and New Get Healthy Goals..

Hey Everyone!

I hope everyone had an awesome holiday, I sure did! I spent most of my time with family which is probably my favorite thing to do. Well it's 2016!! Its a new year and time for new goals. I have a ton of goals that I have set for myself. One being getting back on track fitness and health wise! I cut myself a little slack the last few months. I haven't been going to the gym much because I wanted to give my body sometime to heal and I wanted to loose the "obsession". What I mean by that is the gym was taking over my life it almost became a priority in my life. I would get anxiety about trying to fit it into my schedule. But I think I'm ready to get back into the swing of things! I don't know why but working out just makes me feel better and actually gives me more energy! My goal is to find a healthy balance and to realize that I don't need to work out every single day! I think its important to set goals and challenge yourself!! I find a lot of people set goals for themselves but they don't follow through with them. I wanted to share some tips that you can use when setting your goals:
  1. write down your goal and ask yourself if it is realistic and manageable.
  2. write down what you have to do to reach your goal (i.e to lose weight you need to eat a healthy balanced diet and exercise regularly)
  3. be consistent with the things that are going to help you reach your goal
  4. find things that motivate you to stay on track
  5. Ask for help! If you need advice or help ask for it don't be shy!
  6. if you fall off the wagon get back on ASAP!
  7. DONT GIVE UP!
Lets make the best out of  2016!
